If you need to get back to the states quickly, there are dozens of non-stop flights leaving Panama for U.S. destinations daily. You can be back in your home or business in hours, not days. In fact, Panama has robust Internet access and most business can be transacted right from your hammock.

Panama has inexpensive real estate and there is no housing slump. Any property that you buy today will most likely be worth more in the near-future. The money you can save on housing and living expenses can be used to shuttle back to the U.S. when necessary.

Most likely, however, once you move to Panama, you’ll find fewer reasons to return to the states. The weather is awesome. Your money goes further. The beaches are clean and wide open. The culture and the people are charming. You may find yourself spending more time in Panama than you might expect.
